Yeah...I kinda agree..but its just safety precautions as well since there are a lot of site being closed down or ban due to copyright issues or the company saw them posting releases of translations w/c some company do not like. Dont know why...

It was shocking that when I registered it automatically recognize what country i'm in right now...did not even ask what country just what region i'm located at...now that is a bit umm....scary? ^_^!

Yeah, it's possible to locate general vicinity based on IP. It wouldn't be an issue if the information wasn't being used maliciously or exploitively.
